Lindsay Lohan is making a comeback and Oprah Winfrey's got her back. The former child actress, who recently checked herself back into rehab, has confirmed she'll sit down for a one-on-one interview with the queen of talk shows herself.
According to CNN, the interview is expected to be taped and aired in August, days after her 90-day court-ordered time at a rehabilitation facility expires on July 31.
As if that wasn't enough, Lohan has also landed a short series with Winfrey's network, OWN. The star has signed onto an eight-part reality series with the network that will feature Lindsay as she tries to bounce back from all the bad publicity and work on her career and her health. The show will air in 2014.
"OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014," an OWN spokesperson told CNN.
Lohan's post-rehab interview is expected to be among Oprah's most publicized interviews on her interview show, "Oprah's Next Chapter." Lance Armstrong memorably made his infamous doping admission on the same show earlier this year, and Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, also sat down with O after her mother's abrupt death.
As for Lohan, she has been turning down "unscripted project offers" for years now, CNN notes. The eight-part reality series will definitely be something to watch out for - not only for her fans, but also for spectators who have seen the star spiral up and down.
Aside from multiple TV appearances, it seems that the troubled star could also make a comeback in the music scene. R&B singer Ne-Yo has shown interest in working with Lohan.
In an interview with E! News, the Grammy Award-winning singer said he is open to writing a song for Lohan.
"Yeah! I have no beef with Lindsay Lohan, none whatsoever. If she wants, tell her I said, 'Let's work.' There you go."
