In an episode dealing with major setbacks, feelings of inadequacy and selfishness, here's what the "Girls" wore:

(Warning: SPOILERS ahead)

Hannah's Black Outfit

This is a surprise! At David's funeral, Hannah shows up in a black dress with a modest neckline and even an element of stylishness in the lace sleeves. It's fit for an adult and is actually appropriate for a funeral. But wait, Hannah stepped in it again: She asked David's mourning wife for the name of a publisher, proving she'd be better off dressing like a slob to the funeral rather than opening her mouth.

Hannah's Lizard Tee

After being kicked out of the funeral, Hannah emerges in a very on-trend crop top at home. Of course, she pairs it with low-waisted bottoms, which makes the plastic lizard embellished shirt look shrunken. This particular top is by New York designer Natalya Nyn's brand, Toy Syndrome. It retails for $45, so everything about it screams Hannah.

Jessa and Shoshanna in a Similar, But Opposite Color Scheme

You don't need to see their clothes to understand how different these two are from each other, but it's a nice reminder. Shoshanna wrongly believes herself to be very grown up, but really, she's still a kid in a lot of ways. Look no further than her khaki trenchcoat and heels that are juxtaposed with, well, everything else, namely a mix of loud colors and disheveled hair. Jessa, on the other hand, is more of a free spirit, but after finding out that a friend faked her death to escape Jessa's enabling ways, she looks more cleaned up than usual. A simple coat, black top and a touch of boho with her loose-fitting pants.

Marni's Accessible Outfit

The ever-judgmental Marni shows up to Ray's wearing a structured coat, chunky heels and immediately stars judging his apartment. She also loses her confidence pretty quickly after taking off her coat, asking Ray what is wrong with her. Beneath, she is wearing a more accessible look - a pink long-sleeve shirt and mini skirt - that can be seen on any 20-something. Of course, on her way out, with her coat in her arms, she's back to being regular Marni.
