Richard Sherman has been getting a lot of attention from the media heading into the highly-anticipated Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Sherman made headlines with his infamous post-game rant after his team's 23-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game two weeks ago.
The 25-year-old cornerback sealed the Seahawks' victory when he tipped a pass from Colin Kaepernick that was directed to Michael Crabtree.
After the crucial tip, Sherman directed a choke sign towards Kaepernick and then declared after the match on live television that he is the best cornerback in the league today.
But while he made a lot of noise during the end of that NFC Championship showdown, NFL analysts said that Sherman should back up his talk when he goes up against the formidable offense of the Denver Broncos, led by veteran quarterback Peyton Manning.
When pressed to comment about his upcoming matchup with the Broncos, the third-year cornerback vowed to prove that he is the best player in the defensive backfield of the Seahawks. Sherman also added that he feels comfortable with his words.
"I guess I'm comfortable with my words. I'm comfortable in front of a crowd - public speaking," Sherman said via NY Daily News. "Obviously, not everybody in the world is comfortable. Sometimes people get anxiety. Some people are uncomfortable with it, and I really don't think everybody should be forced to do it because it's not for everyone."

Sherman's post-game rant did not go over well with some spectators, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who publicly said that he did not like what the former Stanford standout did.
"Sherman is such a great young man. He is extremely well-spoken, does great things off the field, obviously a great player on the field. I want him to present himself in the best possible way and make sure that he is reflecting on himself and his family in a positive way," Goodell said in a statement via ESPN.
Kaepernick recently broke his silence, as well, regarding Sherman's rant and the choke sign directed to him, saying that the statement and the way Sherman acted after their epic showdown was ridiculous.
