New York Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck could have played his last game in the Big Apple as he will test the free agency market this offseason, the 30-year-old veteran told Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post this week.

After spending all of his nine NFL seasons with the Giants, Tuck said he would explore his options as he becomes an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

"I will see what the market is for me," Tuck told Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post. "I've never been in this situation before, and it's a great opportunity for myself. I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't see what the market is, and I will."

Although he didn't rule out the possibility of playing for the Giants for the remainder of his career, Tuck said he's also ready for the unexpected.

"We will sit down in a couple of weeks and see what happens, but obviously, the Giants are going to do what's best for the Giants, and vice versa with me and my family," added Tuck, who has amassed 453 tackles, 60.5 sacks and 20 forced fumbles during his career as a Giant.

"I understand where they're coming from and what obstacles they have to overcome this offseason. There's no guarantee, and that's obvious. It's a business, and [I] understand both sides of it," he added.

According to Hubbuch, the demand for a pass rusher aged 30 years old and up has subsided over the past several years, but Tuck is confident he can snag a lucrative deal after completing one of the best seasons in his pro football career. Tuck recorded 63 tackles and 11 sacks in 16 games this season.

"I'm a pretty good football player," Tuck said, "and I'm pretty sure there will be some interest in a pretty good football player.

Sports Illustrated Fan Sided reporter Chase Ruttig believes the Oakland Raiders could be interested in getting Tuck as they attempt to fortify their shaky defensive line.

"His inclusion in the free agency market will be intriguing for the Raiders as they are in the market for talented pass rushers and Tuck definitely fits the bill," Ruttig stated.

"Although he his hitting the latter stages of his career, a move for Tuck would give Oakland's defense a Richard Seymour-like veteran who might even have more in the tank and also a player who has been apart of a winning franchise in the Giants," he added.
