Not only does it appear that Amanda Bynes has made an impressive improvement to her mental health, but now the 27-year-old actress seems to be taking strides to get physically fit as well.
Back in December, the former Nickelodeon star completed a nearly six-month stint in a mental rehab facility after displaying months of erratic behavior in the better half of 2013.
Since her release, she has been living with her parents in Thousand Oaks, Calif. On Jan. 23, the "Hairspray" star was seen getting dropped off at a Los Angeles gym by her father. She was dressed in a pair of black cropped workout leggings, a white graphic T-shirt and sunglasses, reports US Weekly. However, before she made her way inside of the fitness center, the former child star headed to a local gas station where she brought a pack of Zig Zag rolling papers, reports E! News.
The following day, Bynes was spotted wearing the exact same attire when she was dropped off by the gym by her mother. She also went to the same convenience store she visited on Thursday.
Earlier this month, the troubled star spent $3,250 to attend a week-long fitness retreat in Utah.
"She was interested in getting healthier...to get in better shape, to lose about five pounds, but mainly to strengthen up and eat healthier," Austan Torson, the owner and personal trainer at Miracles Fitness Retreat told E! News.
"I think it was a really good experience for her," he added. "She participated in everything we did. She was always up in the morning even though she was tired."
