Shane Mosley expressed disappointment with the way several media outlets used his recent statement regarding a possible showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Recent reports indicated that Mosley, who had a chance to face both fighters, allegedly said that Mayweather is more skilled than Pacquiao, but that the Filipino boxing icon could put the undefeated American in trouble with his punching power.

However, in a recent interview with Fighthype, Mosley blasted several media outlets for turning his quotes around to indicate that he believes Pacquiao will emerge victorious if the two boxing superstars decide to go up against each other in a mega-buck showdown.

"It's pissing me off that people are turning my quotes around," Mosley said.

The 42-year-old American insisted that only half of his statement was accurately quoted in several reports to make it appear he is convinced Pacquiao can score a knockout win over the reigning pound-for-pound king.

"They ask, 'Well, what chance does Manny have?' I say, 'Well, you know, he has a puncher's chance. He does hit pretty good. If he can hurt Floyd, then maybe something can happen. But I also said, Floyd's the better fighter and he's never going to hit him to be able to hurt him, so it's not going to happen," Mosley said.

The former champion also added that a similar incident happened before the record-setting showdown between Mayweather and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Mosley said that he is tired of media outlets making it appear like he is always against Mayweather.

"I'm tired of this against Floyd thing; like Mosley is against Floyd or Mosley is saying this against Floyd. No, no; I'm not doing that. Floyd's a great fighter. He works hard, trains hard, and does what he's supposed to do. He's the best right now and there's nothing else to be said. That's it. That's just it. I'm just tired of it. I'm tired of the Mosley against Floyd thing," Mosley said.

Mosley was dominated by Mayweather during their showdown in May 2010 in which the Grand Rapids native cruised to a lopsided unanimous decision win. A year later, Mosley took a beating against Pacquiao, who also ran away with a unanimous decision victory.
