Undefeated American fighter Tomothy Bradley continues his assault on Manny Pacquiao before they meet again inside the ring for their WBO Welterweight Championship rematch on April 9 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nev.
Bradley hasn't been shy about his chances of beating the Filipino boxing icon, constantly insisting he'll be better than the last time he fought the Pacman two years ago.
After engaging in two brutal slugfests against Russian contender Ruslan Provodnikov and Mexican warrior Juan Manuel Marquez last year, Bradley said he's preparing to show off a smart fight against Pacquiao, who he called a predictable, one-dimensional fighter.
"I'ma be able to out-think Pacquiao as well. Coming into this fight, I feel I definitely will be able to out-think Pacquiao," Bradley said in an interview with Fight Hype.
Bradley admitted that Pacquiao might have an edge in speed and power, but his ability to adapt and change strategy on the fly like what he did during his 12-round showdown with Marquez will make the difference in their second meeting.
"Pacquiao has a lot of speed and power in both hands, but he's very predictable. Marquez is not and that's the reason why Marquez was able to give Pacquiao fits all the time was because he made Pacquiao think. You know, Marquez was more cerebral than Pacquiao," he added.
One-Dimensional Fighter
Bradley, whose controversial split decision victory over Pacquiao was panned by boxing followers, believes Pacquiao is a predictable fighter because he only fights one way, while Marquez can make adjustments in the middle of the fight.
"Marquez always said, 'He won't beat me because he's not smarter than me.' I honestly feel that Marquez is very, very, very smart and he made adjustments in the fight," Bradley said
"He altered his game and, you know, I had to alter my as well because I had to be ready for whatever he was doing. Pacquiao only fights really one way, man. Yeah, he only fights one way," he added.
Pacquiao, coming off a 12-round unanimous decision win over Brandon Rios Nov. 23 in Macau, China, will reportedly earn $20 million as guaranteed fight purse - $6 million less than their first fight - while Bradley will pocket $6 million in the showdown.
