The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AZ Chamber) is seeking to form a political Super PAC, and this effort is being joined by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC).
.
"The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with the Arizona Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) on the Super PAC designation, an important tool in which the Chamber and members can represent the business community in the political process," read a release from the AZHCC this week.

"The Arizona Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) was established to actively support state and local candidates who share the principles and priorities outlined in the Arizona Chamber Business Agenda," explains the PAC's Web site. "Furthermore, the Arizona Chamber PAC may be used to influence the outcomes of key political races. The focus of the PAC will be to assist business-friendly candidates who seek elected office.

"The Arizona Chamber PAC is not affiliated with any political party and is non-partisan in its support of candidates. The Arizona Chamber PAC is funded by individual contributions and by transfers from other business PACs. Funds in the PAC will be distributed to candidates as determined by the PAC Committee pursuant to the PAC Bylaws."

This non-partisan committee will be administered by member of the AZ Chamber.

"The AZ Chamber PAC is governed by our Political Affairs Committee," the release states. "This committee is comprised of appointed members from our Board of Directors and Public Affairs Committee."

The AZ Chamber has 110 members on the Board of Directors listed on the organization's Web site. The "Public Affairs Committee" was not immediately available, however the "Federal Affairs Committee" which "exists to educate Arizona's Congressional delegation on major strategic federal policy issues that impact Arizona's global competitiveness and the ability for Arizona's businesses to create and retain jobs. The committee also advocates for state policymakers to allow certain key issues to be addressed at the federal level, where appropriate," is chaired by Janna Day of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP.
