The latest episode of "Castle" focused on a young pop star gone bad.
In "Limelight," the team investigates the death of Mandy Sutton, a teen pop star who recently shed her innocent image. Mandy is found in an alley with a fatal wound to her head.
Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) seek out her boyfriend, Zack, who had recently broken up with Sutton. However, he has an alibi. He leads them to Jesse, another ex-boyfriend who has a violent past.
Sutton's mother and manager then comes to identify her body, only to realize it isn't her daughter. Her mother identifies the victim as Mandy's decoy, Clare.
Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) go to Mandy's hotel to make sure she's alright. Beckett tries to get more information from Mandy, but she is not helpful.
Ryan then finds hate mail that was sent to Mandy, along with photos of her sleeping. Finally, Sutton seems concerned for her wellbeing.
Ryan tracks down the man who owns the printer where the pictures came from. He has been stalking Mandy, and can be see in the photos from the night Clare was killed.
It turns out he was there that night, but is not the killer. However, he says he did see a motorcycle that night. Ryan and Esposito find out that the owner of the bike is her ex, Jesse.
Meanwhile, Jesse pulls up to a bar where Mandy is with Alexis (Molly C. Quinn) and holds them at gunpoint. He drives to a secluded area and demands answers from Mandy.
The team shows up to save Alexis and Mandy, and finds out that someone from the paparazzi took the photos of Mandy. The paparazzi said he received a tip about the photos. The team finds out that Mandy's mother set up everything because she did not want to give up her cash cow: her daughter.
Meanwhile, Beckett comes to terms with the fact that she is marrying someone famous, and Alexis breaks up with Pi (Myko Olivier).
On the next episode, "Dressed to Kill," "Castle and Beckett make their way through the glitzy world of high fashion to find who killed a magazine editor's assistant. Access to a very special wedding surprise is provided to Beckett."
"Titanic" mom Frances Fisher will guest star on the next episode as an Anna Wintour-like fashion magazine editor who comes face-to-face with Beckett, whom she met years ago when she was a young model.
"There was an 'employment issue,' where I ended up not very happy about her decision [to quit modeling]," Fisher hinted to TVLine.
