The Big Show and Rey Mysterio kicked off Friday Night Smackdown teaming up to go up against The Real Americans, with Zeb Colter selling his injury, riding out to ringside in a wheelchair, after getting knocked out by the Big Show with a WMD a couple of weeks ago on Monday Night Raw. Mysterio got the pin after attempting a body splash off of the Big Show's shoulders. Paul Heyman came out to the ramp after the match to tell the Big Show what Brock Lesner would do to him at Sunday's Royal Rumble.

The Miz took on Brodus Clay in the next match, with "Bad News" Wade Barrett doing commentary during the bout. The Miz hit his Skull-Crushing Finale to get the pin as Barrett bad-mouthed both wrestlers in the ring.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee, with her bodyguard Tamina by her side, defeated Cameron of The Funkadactyls. AJ, not satisfied with the victory, attacked Cameron, with Naomi of The Funkadactyls making the save for her tag team partner.

Ryback and Curtis Axel defeated Los Matadores in tag team action. El Torito attacked Ryback and Axel after the match, nailing Ryback with a top rope body-splash.

CM Punk came out to the ring to talk about The Shield and his prospects at the Royal Rumble since he was given the number one entry in the 30-Man Over-the-Top-Rop Battle Royal by The Authority on Monday Night Raw. WWE Director of Operations Kane came out and told Punk that, as the first entry in the Royal Rumble, he has a .00000186 percent chance of winning and headlining Wrestlemania XXX. Punk called Kane a sellout and said he would show the world why he has been best in the world since day one Sunday night.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of the Wyatts defeated the Prime Time Players. After match, Bray Wyatt, watching the match ringside sitting on his rocking chair, entered the ring and nailed Darren Young with Sister Abigail before cutting a promo on Daniel Bryan. Bryan, who has been medically cleared to compete at the Royal Rumble after suffering a concussion in last week's Steel Cage tag team match against the Usos, came out to the ramp interrupting Wyatt telling him what he is going to do to him at Sunday's pay-per-view.

Fandango, accompanied by Summer Rae, took the loss against Kofi Kingston.

WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust teamed up with Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston and the Usos against The Shield (United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) and the New Age Outlaws - Road Dogg and Billy Gunn - in a Ten-Man Tag Team match that ended in a chaotic no-contest. The referee lost control of the match with other WWE superstars participating in Royal Rumble pouring out of the locker room, running out to the ring and a brawl ensuing in the ring to end the show.
