Laurel will find herself in hot water as she continues her quest to expose the truth behind "Brother" Sebestian Blood in this week's episode of "Arrow."

In the upcoming episode "Blind Spot," after Laurel tells Arrow that Sebastian Blood murdered his mother and that he is indeed the man in the mask, Brother Blood, Oliver will team up with his former ex-girlfriend in order to hunt him down. However, Brother Blood and Slade strike back against Laurel by exposing her drug addicted past and getting her arrested.

According to ScreenCrush, a synopsis of the episode released by The CW reads:

"Oliver (Stephen Amell) is conflicted after Laurel (Katie Cassidy) reaches out to the Arrow asking him to investigate Sebastian Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). Oliver is unsure whether to believe her accusations against the man he has publically supported for mayor, but decides to trust Laurel. However, when the pair gets too close to the truth, Sebastian exposes Laurel's drug addiction and has her arrested.

Meanwhile, Roy (Colton Haynes) reveals his new super-strength to Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) who wants to test out his abilities. Unfortunately, Roy isn't able to contain his rage once unleashed and almost kills a man. Back on the island, Oliver is surprised when Sarah (guest star Caity Lotz) reveals a secret about Laurel."

In addition Sin will make a return to the show and team up with Roy on a case together.

In a recent panel discussion, "Arrow" staff writer Robin Harry revealed that "a gut feeling" triggered Laurel to dig deeper into Sebestian Blood, although she lacks hard core evidence about his deviant nature.

"Her investigation was preposterous," said Harry, according to TV Fanatic. "She automatically assumed criminal intent without evidence, stole a random piece of paper on his desk, tracked it to a mental institution -- and then immediately believed the delirious mental patient in the throes of psychosis. I mean, as viewers we know she right, but...seriously?"

Writer Nick McHatton also pointed out that Laurel developed a keen sense of uncovering phonies while working as a lawyer at CNRI.

"All those years of giving legal aid to people has probably given Laurel great instincts for spotting liars, and she picks up on Blood's scent quickly," he said.

"Arrow" S2E11, "Blind Spot," airs on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
