Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion early in his Steel Cage match against the Usos last edition of Monday Night Raw and is in jeopardy of missing the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Reports from the show say that Bryan could not remember portions of his match that had him teamed up with Bray Wyatt against the Usos before turning on him, looking dazed and confused during while he was atop the cage celebrating. The WWE pulled Bryan from house shows, resting him in hopes that he can be ready for his bout against Wyatt at the Royal Rumble.
One participant of the Royal Rumble that may have been accidentally leaked is Chis Jericho, after the Winnipeg Sun advertised his appearance for a March house show. The WWE is saying that it was a mistake on the part of the publication, asking them to run a correction, but it may be a way to keep his appearance secret to keep the surprise going for the Royal Rumble.
In Wrestlemania XXX news, Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Hulk Hogan has made a verbal agreement with the WWE to appear at the pay-per-view, with his role for the weekend discussed considering he may not be physically cleared to compete at the event. One possiblity being thrown around is inducting a match into the WWE Hall of Fame - Hogan's main event where he teamed up with Mr. T against "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff at the first Wrestlemania. Another possibility is to have Hogan induct the Ultimate Warrior into the Hall of Fame.
One potential Wrestlemania XXX match that is off is Ryback against Bill Goldberg, with reports saying that both the WWE and the former WCW champion are far apart on possible deal in regards to money. The WWE is once again rumored to be going after Sting, hoping to sign him before Wrestlemania XXX since his contract with TNA Wrestling is near its end. The WWE has been eager to have him go up against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXX and is hoping they could sway Sting to jump ship, especially considering he has come close to signing with the WWE at various points of his career.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White addressed the rumors regarding a potential return by Lesnar to the mixed martial arts (MMA) company. White said he has had conversations with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who brought huge pay-per-view numbers for the organization, and that the door is always open for him to return to the organization. Lesnar nearly jumped back into MMA in 2012 when White was negotiating a potential mega-fight between Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko to be held at AT&T Stadium in Texas before negotiations broke down due to the death of Emelianenko's father, leading to his retirement.
"It was fun having Brock here," said White at the presser after UFC Fight Night 35. "He has some regrets, and would he like to fight again? I'm sure he would. So we'll see how this whole thing plays out. It's definitely a possibility."
The WWE did not end up making an offer to The American Pitbulls - Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards - who have signed with TNA Wrestling after their try-out with WWE. The Wrestling Observer reported that Triple H had issues with Edwards' and Richards' size, believing there are enough small NXT wrestlers on the roster who can work good matches. Triple H is reported to be more interested in finding the next Wrestlemania headliner in five to 10 years that can help carry the company into the future once veterans like John Cena retire.
The American Pitbulls, who went under the name of the American Wolves when they competed with Ring of Honor, will wrestle under the tag team moniker of The Wolves and made their debut during Thursday's episode of TNA Impact.
