The Puerto Rican songstress Kany Garcia used her social media page, Instagram, to come out of the closet and revealed that she's a lesbian. In fact, the 33-year-old star unveiled that she's already in a relationship with her own personal trainer, Jocelyn Troche, on Valentine's Day.

The songwriter started her lengthy note and believed that the day for lovers was the perfect time for her to show who she really is, Fox News Latino reported. The photo featured her lying beside the love of her life. The two looked so in love while Troche was grinning and Garcia was looking at her.

"Love always wins, always sets one free and always transforms. Today I want to put my fears aside and face my truth. That is how I share with you this very special photo with this extraordinary woman who has stolen my heart," the former Objetivo Fama contestant wrote in the caption.

She also added that good things should be shared, which was why she decided to uncover her real feelings. She explained that being in love is not a sin and she wants to accept herself for who she really is.

"That is how I share my abundance with you. When one speaks with love and with truth, only good things can happen," she ended her message.

To recall, the "Hoy Ya Me Voy" singer married Carlos Padial in 2010, a musician from her band, but decided to part ways in 2013. The two spent seven years together.

Meanwhile, a Puerto Rican newspaper, El Nuevo Dia, reported the coming out of Garcia was another development for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and transgender community or LGBT in Cuba. In fact, she was flooded with a lot of support coming from the Puerto Rico head of the gay group himself, Pedro Julio Serrano.

The "human rights activist" was one of the first personalities who welcomed her to their community and compared her situation to another Puerto Rican singer, Ricky Martin. And just like the revelation of the 44-year-old actor, Garcia gained more respect from her followers and fans.

As a matter of fact, they received a lot of support from their fans, with the "three functions" concert sold out at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico over the weekend.

Serrano claimed that their country "made progress in terms of rights."
