Fans are up for a triple treat as Sports Illustrated magazine features three different women respected in their fields for their 2016 issue. The UFC champion Ronda Rousey, the size-16 model, Ashley Graham, and the newcomer Hailey Clauson starred in the swimsuit edition.

This was the first time in their 52 years in the industry to reveal three cover girls. In fact, Graham, the 28-year-old body activist was surprised when she learned that she would be one of the cover girls.

"I thought Sports Illustrated was taking a risk by putting a girl my size in the pages already, but putting me on the cover? They aren't just breaking barriers, they are the standard now. This is so beyond epic," she said, according to People.

The American model from Lincoln, Nebraska donned a purple string bikini and proudly flaunted her voluptuous body. Furthermore, the 28-year-old mixed martial artist stunned everyone with her one-piece body paint.

"And it really is just an honor to be in a real historical issue like this that is celebrating all body types of women. I really feel like media presents a very cookie cutter image for women to aspire to, which for certain body types it's just not realistic or healthy. I love that all the covers are three different body types in their healthiest form," Rousey told People.

Lastly, the 20-year-old face of Dsquared2, Jill Stuart, and Gucci proved that she deserved to be a part of the historical issue. In fact, she said that the latest swimsuit edition would inspire young women to be proud of themselves.

"I think every little girl has somebody to relate to in the issue and every woman stands for something and it's not just a model. Everybody has a personality," she added.

Meanwhile, a source told E! Online that the Sports Illustrated 2016 issue is to promote women empowerment. The special yearly edition was officially revealed after the NBA Slam Dunk Contest aired on TNT.

Also, Gigi Hadid will be seen inside the said spread after two years, when she was launched in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2014.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2016 will be out on Feb. 15 while its content can also be viewed on its iOS and Android application as well as on SI.com/swimsuit.
