"Beauty and the Beast" returned last Monday with the temporary end to a relationship and a gruesome new discovery.
In "Don't Die on Me," Tori (Amber Skye Noyes) tries to get Vincent (Jay Ryan) to be a "beast" out in the open, but he is reluctant to follow her methods.
Meanwhile, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) is trying to get back to her work, but is being questioned about the shooting. She ends up getting her badge and gun suspended. And while Vincent is off with Tori, Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) does everything in his power to help Cat; he even tampers with evidence to try to save her from blame.
It is also revealed that JT (Austin Basis) has been hanging out with Vincent due to a sense of guilt, because he is the one who submitted Vincent's name to the Muirfield study. Tess (Nina Lisandrello), tries to talk sense into both Gabe and JT, and tells JT in reference to Vincent, "You can't beat yourself up without patting yourself on the back too." She points out that his mistake has had some positive outcomes.
Also, the mystery surrounding Tori's father becomes even bigger. It turns out that Windsor literally has skeletons in his closet, a detail that will surely come back later on.
There is also a group of new people trying to figure out Vincent, but Vincent decides to once again keep his beastly ways a secret and be Vincent Keller, regular man.
In the end, Cat gets emotional closure with Vincent, and walks away to take care of herself in the wake of all the trauma surrounding Vince.
On the next episode, "Ancestors," Vincent will reveal to the world that he's still alive.
The synopsis reads: "Vincent will go on a national talk show to reveal he is still alive, while Cat dives into an undercover case for FBI Agent Dana Landon. Vincent, determined to learn more about his beastly origins, will end up coming face-to-face with Cat in the middle of a heist, which will force them to work together."
Check out the promo below for "Ancestors," which airs Monday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
