The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to become sellers before the 2014 NBA trade deadline and recent reports suggested that they will indeed trade three of their most attractive assets.

The Sixers were reportedly shopping Thaddeus Young in the past few weeks, but they will likely stop for a while and focus on trading the other two attractive pieces -- Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes, as noted by Philly.com.

Sources said that the Sixers are attempting to package Turner and Hawes in a trade that would be consummated before the trade deadline on Feb. 20.

Turner leads Philadelphia in scoring with 19.0 points in 37 games, while also tallying 6.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists, while Hawes is averaging 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds this season.

Several teams have expressed interest in acquiring both Turner and Hawes, but the talks have been more exploratory, which is quite understandable since teams normally ramp up their negotiations few days before the deadline.

"Philadelphia is stepping back from any trade negotiations for Thaddeus Young, and attempting to push a package of Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes. The source also went on to say that a few teams have shown interest, although rather minute, and no deal is close to imminent," Philly.com noted.

ESPN insider Chad Ford also insisted that Philadelphia will eventually enter into trades and that Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie is just waiting for the right offer to come.

"Most teams don't make their best offers in January. Usually those don't come until the week of the trade deadline. So while there is clearly an incentive to trade now to lose more games, if Hinkie waits, he probably gets more value in a month than he does now," Ford noted.

Hawes is also expected to become an expendable asset due to the imminent return of Nerlens Noel.

The sixth-overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, who has yet to make his NBA debut due to an ACL injury he sustained when he was still with the Kentucky Wildcats, has been medically cleared to engage in basketball-related activities.

Sources said that Noel, who was considered as the potential No.1 NBA Draft pick last year before tearing his ACL, could play four to six weeks from now.
