On the latest "Hart of Dixie," rumors swirled and true feelings surfaced. 

In the episode, rumors of a merger between the town of Bluebell and their rival, Fillmore, has the town in an uproar. To distract the local gossip blog of news of the merger, Zoe (Rachel Bilson), Joel (Josh Cooke) and Annabeth (Kaitlyn Black) are asked to come up with a cover story.

They stage photos of Joel and Annabeth caught in an affair, buying Lavon and George more time before the residents of Bluebell discover it is a sham.

Tansy (Mircea Monroe) helps (George (Scott Porter) and Lavon (Cress Williams) find out the truth about the town merger. Mayor Gainey of Fillmore is supportive of the merger because he wants to turn Bluebell into West Fillmore.

Lavon tells the distraught town that he will do everything in his power to stop the merger.

Meanwhile, Wade (Wilson Bethel) is interested in Zoe's cousin Vivian (Lauren Bittner), and Zoe tries to keep them apart, but fails. After their first date, Zoe tries to talk Vivian out of seeing Wade again.

Wade then confronts Zoe about her cousin's change of heart after what he thought was a great first date. He tells Zoe that she needs to ask herself why she doesn't want him dating her cousin. Joel has been telling Zoe that she was acting jealous the whole time, but Wade finally helps her clear things up with Vivian.

Zoe tells Vivian that she isn't sure why she was so jealous about her and Wade (even though fans of the show know that she is clearly still in love with Wade).

A pregnant Shelby (Laura Bell Bundy) also moves into her ex Brick's (Tim Matheson) house, even though the baby isn't his. Brick continues to be guilted by Shelby into helping her prepare for the baby.

Tansy also brings some trouble to George and Lynly's (Antoinette Robertson) relationship. Lavon notices that George has been avoiding eating out with Lynly for the past week, which he's doing because Tansy now works at the Rammer Jammer. Lavon pushes George into taking Lynly out to eat, so they go to Buttersticks--but end up seeing Tansy anyway.

Lynly begins to sense that there is something going on between the two exes.

On the next episode, "Star of the Show," Zoe will run the local cabaret.

The synopsis reads: "When Brick is asked to help with the local cabaret, he nominates Zoe to save the day. Lavon feels defeated about the possible merger with Fillmore, so it is left up to AnnaBeth and Lemon to motivate him to put up one last fight. Lynly (guest star Antoinette Robertson) continues to become more jealous of George's close friendship with Tansy (guest star Mircea Monroe), and keeps a close on eye him. Meanwhile, Wade is excited about his new romance, but grows concerned when he notices that she is pulling away."
