Teasers of this week's "Grimm" reveal that the all-new episode will be interesting and intense as Nick and Hank hunt a ruthless killer targeting war veterans and Monroe meets Rosalee's mother. The show will also put its own spin on the legend of the Manticore.

In the new episode, which is titled "The Good Soldier," Nick and Hank will end up getting called to the gruesome murder of a veteran, working in home security. During their investigation, they discover this might be one of several revenge killings regarding a horrifying cover-up and involving members of the army and military contractors, reports Hollywood Hills.

In the meantime, Monroe meets Rosalee's family for the first time when he accompanies her during her long overdue reunion with her mother and sister.

Over in Europe, Adalind sees hints of what she thinks might be her powers returning.

The upcoming episode will also feature the legend of the Manticore, which, according to Monstrous, is a mythical beast that bears the body of a red lion, a human face and ears, and a tail with a stinger like that of a scorpion. The creature's mouth contains three rows of teeth, and it can shoot poisoned spines on its tail like arrows in any direction.

Kirk Acevedo and Emily Rios will guest star in the episode.

"The Good Soldier" airs on "Grimm" on Friday, Jan. 17 at NBC.
