The gaming industry is expected to expand and come up with more innovations in 2016.
With various new technologies available, what can the public expect in gaming for this year?

2. The coming of Nintendo's NX
The Los Angeles Times said Nintendo is trying its best to recover from the poor sales of the Wii U when it thought of this new offering to its gamers.
This year, video game company, Nintendo, is rumored to ship 10-12 million NX consoles as a mass production of the device, which is reportedly set for the end of the first quarter of next year.
Digitimes said that the company's new game console is expected to continue with mass production and despite Nintendo's target "to ship 20 million units in 2016, the device's upstream component suppliers expect shipments to only reach around 10-12 million units."
3. HoloLens: Microsoft's Take at Augmented Reality
The Guardian said this technology from Microsoft has attracted the interest of many, since it aims to "bring the game world out to the people."
Last year, the company announced HoloLens during the marquee event. It described this new technology as something which has no wires, but would connect your physical environment to a gaming location through holograms.
The HoloLens has its own dedicated CPU, GPU and a holographic processing unit (or HPU), which "tracks the environment around you, what you're looking at, and what you're doing with your hands," according to The Verge.
4. More game features to engage the gamers and the public
Huffington Post noted that the industry could be expected to improve the social component of gaming by adding in-game chat options and Player versus Player (PvP) features.
It also said that many companies explored multiplayer options with many games last year.
5. Super Mario to be available on mobile
According to The Guardian, another development from Nintendo is the introduction of their games for tablets and smartphones.
The game developer announced that it is currently working to make five of its game available for mobile players like Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Animal Crossing and Pokemon.
But Nintento said they will be first offering the communication application, dubbed MiiTomo.
