A new teaser clip for "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been released and it showcased something historical: a terrified Bruce Wayne.
For the first time since the character was created, Bruce Wayne shows how 'human' he really is in a clip released for the upcoming DC Cinematic Universe film. The film is due in theaters on March 25.
In fact, Cinema Blend noted how the Dark Knight was "terrified" of what the Kryptonian has to offer the world, especially after Superman's devastating battle in Metropolis featured in "Man of Steel," which had been indirectly described in the clip when Alfred asked his boss if he was going to war.
"He's the one who brought the war to us. Count the dead. It's thousands of people [referring to the events in "Man of Steel"] What's next? Millions?" he told his loyal butler-slash-assistant.
Then Affleck's Bruce Wayne proceeds to talk about the possibility that Superman might be the enemy, citing that "he has the power to wipe out the entire human race."
"And if we even believe there is even a 1 percent chance he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty and we have to destroy him," he added.
And apparently, the feeling is mutual. iDigital Times notes how Clark Kent has already given up on being Mr. Nice Guy. This was indicated in a recently released full-length trailer, where he is hear saying: "Next time they shine a light in the sky, don't go to it. The bat is dead - bury it."
After seeing a whole lot of versions of Gotham's hero in past movies and shows, the outlet believes that Ben Affleck's version will turn out to be a bit different, describing Batman to have a "dark, brooding personality."
The outlet further noted that Affleck's stood out as Bruce Wayne because he perfectly showed how the Dark Knight goes beyond his primary goal of protecting innocent people and gives in to his "want" to destroy the Kryptonian.
Meanwhile, the new teaser also confirms speculations of a clash between the two major Justice League heroes that was first implied with the announcement of movie's title.
In fact, a report from ABC News noted that the entire clip was dedicated to explaining why the two would be set out to get rid of each other, even if they both have the same goal: to protect humanity.
