Rajon Rondo could make his season debut on Friday when the Boston Celtics collide with the Los Angeles Lakers at the TD Garden.

Rondo, who has been sidelined in the past 12 months after tearing his right ACL, posted a mysterious "29,233,380 secs" tweet on Monday night. ESPN reported that Rondo's post could be a hint about his imminent return from a devastating knee injury.

Reports said that 29,233,380 is almost equal to 338 days, which is the exact number of days from Rondo's ACL surgery on Feb. 13, 2013 to his potential return date on Friday.

"Rondo's tweet referencing 29,233,380 seconds equates to a little more than 338 days, which would be exactly the duration between his ACL surgery on Feb. 13, 2013 and a potential return on Jan. 17, 2014. Heck, Rondo appears to have even calculated the exact differential in time between his surgery and tipoff on Friday," ESPN noted.

The 27-year-old point guard recently revealed that he is planning to return before the All-Star break, but did not give a specific return date.

Yahoo Sports earlier reported that sources close to the situation told them that the seven-year veteran will make his comeback in Boston's game against the Lakers. It was quashed by Rondo himself, but his tweet on Monday could confirm the reported return date.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens was also mum about the potential return of the superstar point guard, but when forced to talk about it, the rookie coach said that Rondo could "possibly" return this week.

With Rondo's return now imminent, trade rumors involving him are expected to circulate in the coming weeks.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge reiterated before that they have no plans to trade Rondo, who is viewed as the cornerstone of their franchise after trading Paul Pierce during the offseason. However, ESPN reported that league executives believe that the former Kentucky standout will be eventually dealt by the Celtics.

"There is an increasing belief among NBA circles that GM Danny Ainge will use him (Rondo), once healthy, to get multiple assets back. So the chances that he's the Celtics' cornerstone moving forward look slim," ESPN noted.

The New York Knicks could be one of the possible destinations for the cat-quick guard.

The Knicks can sign Rondo outright via free agency in the summer of 2015, but they will reportedly plan to pair Rondo with superstar Carmelo Anthony and it could happen via a trade this season or in the offseason.
