When "Nashville" returns this Wednesday, Scarlett will have a scuffle with Avery about Juliette's late-night visit.
A new clip from the upcoming episode "I'll Keep Climbing" shows Scarlett (Clare Bowen) telling Avery (Jonathan Jackson), "You don't turn up at someone's house at 2 am unless somethin's pullin' you there."
Watch the clip here to see Scarlett dig in to Avery.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode reads, "In the aftermath of the death of someone in their circle, lives are changed forever in the world of Nashville, and a new mystery arises. Kelly Clarkson guest stars as herself and makes Gunnar and Scarlett a once-in-a-lifetime offer. Juliette's reputation takes another body blow as creative video editing seems to show her proclaiming there is no God, further fueling her detractors. Rayna's bought herself out of Edgehill, but the the pressure to succeed is greater than ever, and Deacon struggles to write during his sobriety and relative stability and finds help from Maddie and Daphne."
Fans will find out who lived and who died after last episode's shocking cliff-hanger left two lives hanging in the balance. Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) took an asassin's bullet in front of Rayna that was intended for Teddy (Eric Close).
Will (Chris Carmack), who is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality, went to the railroad tracks in an apparent suicide attempt. The screen then faded to black as he faced an oncoming train.
Then on the Jan. 22 episode, "Just For What I Am," the chill between Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Chip Esten) will begin to thaw.
According to the episode's synopsis, "Rayna asks Deacon to help write a much-needed hit for her new album, and it's like old times - perhaps too much."
Also in the episode, Scarlett will sing with guest star Zac Brown, but will continue to struggle with her fame. Gunnar (Sam Palladio) will get an invite to write with Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus, and Jeff (Oliver Hudson) will be livid that concert venues are pulling out of Juliette's (Hayden Panetteire) tour.

The next episode, "I'll Keep Climbing," airs Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
