Call of Duty: Ghosts is about to get a lot scarier. The game's publisher Activision has confirmed that the first piece of DLC for the game, "Onslaught," will feature serial killer Michael Myers from the "Halloween" series.

The preview video for the game confirms many of the rumors that have circulated about the "Onslaught" DLC. First off, the new maps for the game will be called Fog, Bayview, Containment, and Ignition. And an additional map, Nightfall, will be available as part of the Extinction game mode. Executive producer Mark Rubin claims each of these new maps will be "small to medium" in terms of size. The Maverick A2 sniper rifle will also be included as part of the DLC, which can actually be used as two different weapons.

Fog is based on classic horror movie tropes, which is why one of the field orders for the map allows users to become Michael Myers. After becoming the villain, the music changes to the iconic "Halloween" theme, and players will be able to use an axe to take out others.

Bayview is a mid-sized map that takes place in a coastal town. Players will be able to check out the boardwalk and a lighthouse while avoiding bullets. The map will feature a mix of sniper points and run and gun sections, and a trolley can be used as a mobile shelter by smart players. The field order for this map will allow players to use Destroyer-class ships in the harbor to bombard enemies.

Containment is a map that is divided by a dried river bed and a bridge. This forces teams to fight each other over long distances, though speedy players may be able to hop down into the river bed and cross into enemy territory to take out foes in surprise attacks. The field order for the map is a mortar strike that hits a nuclear missile. Ignition is a remake of a previous map found in Modern Warfare 2.

Nightfall will be the first chapter of the Extinction Mode introduced in the main game on the Point of Contact map, and will take place on a remote base in Alaska. Two new aliens will be introduced in the DLC, including the massive breeder boss that is the biggest boss ever in the series. "Onslaught" launches on Xbox platforms on Jan. 28.
