This month's free content update for "Halo 5: Guardians" has been announced.

343 Industries' update called "Infinity Armory" introduces new maps for Arena and Warzone, as well as new weapon skins, assassinations, and armor, Halo Waypoint's webpage listed. The expansion is scheduled to roll out sometime next week, though the game developer did not announce an exact release date.

According to the news outlet, the new maps are Riptide (Arena) and Urban (Warzone Assault). New Carbine Reqs include Rain of Oblivion and Blood of Suban, while one of the fresh Reqs is a Halo 2-era Battle Rife. The armor is named Achilles, which can only be obtained if your Spartan Company reaches Level 3 in all Kill Commendations.

The new assassinations are called "Wind Up" and "Stop Stabbing Yourself," Halo Waypoint added, while new weapon skins are named "Ehh, Arr" and "Locke and Loaded."

Check out Halo Waypoint's webpage for more details on "Infinity's Armory."

The update follows two previous free expansions that was released after the launch of "Halo 5" in October, GameSpot noted. These are "Battle of Shadow and Light" (November) and "The Cartographer's Gift" (December).

'Halo 5: Guardians' Xbox One Update

An Xbox One update was released for "Halo 5: Guardians" earlier this month.

The new update exclusively influences Forge Mode, Express reported. That boosts the amount of "Halo 5" Map and Game Variants that can be saved from 40 each to 100 each.

Forge allows both playing and editing multiplayer maps, aspects that have been greatly expanded in "Halo 5," the news outlet noted. During its launch in November, Microsoft said that the new Forge was created with years of community feedback and features a remarkable rundown of features to build new maps.

Some of the new Forge tools include groupings that can be made with a single button press, Multi-Select/Edit that allows the selection and manipulation of up to 64 individual objects at one time, and 1700+ Objects that can be combined with weapons, turrets, and power-ups, Express listed.

So far, Microsoft have released two major REQs updates for "Halo 5" and said that they will continue to provide more content to the game, the news outlet added. New content will include new items and maps.

The first update called "Shadow and Light" showcased Big Team Battle maps, which was recreated by members of the Forge group and then finished by 343 developers. Adrian Bedoya, 343 Industries' MP Level Designer, said that they are hoping that "the massive depth, scope and speed of what users are able to achieve within the new Forge tools inspires new and old Forgers to bring their creations to life," Express noted.
