It wasn't too long ago that Motorola revealed that Android 4.4.2 KitKat was imminently arriving for the budget-friendly Moto G smartphone in the United Kingdom, and it looks like the upgrade can now be snagged over the air.

Motorola, as well as numerous Moto G users in the United Kingdom, confirmed that KitKat was now rolling out for the Moto G, making it one of the few non-Nexus devices to be running the latest version of Android.

"Android KitKat Comes to Moto G in the UK - Our KitKat family is expanding! When we launched Moto G to the UK market in November 2013, we committed to delivering Android, KitKat, to devices by early 2014," said Motorola on Monday.

"We're thrilled to start delivering on that promise. Over the next week we are officially rolling out Android 4.4.2 to Moto G phones - starting today! This latest version of Android brings some cool new features, including printing emails and photos from your phone."

According to Motorola, the update "includes enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, color emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, smarter power use and more tools and capabilities for better app development."

Moto G owners will also find wireless printing support, an improved phone dialer, more photo editing options, and more accessory support. A full changelog can be found here.

Moto Gs in the United States received Android 4.4 KitKat back in December 2013, ahead of schedule, and carrier Vodafone has stated that the Moto G will have Andorid 4.4.2 KitKat onboard when it launches on the network.
