Jamie Dornan may not have been the original pick to star in the upcoming film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," but it seems like the actor has definitely grown in popularity with the movie's fans.

Many people seemed to be skeptical about Dornan stepping into role of Christian Grey after "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam abruptly left from the film, but now it appears that fans are finally comfortable with Dornan playing the part of the leading man. This was evident by a popular meme that has spread on the Internet and has also been shared by "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James, reports the IB Times.

"@E_L_James @JamieDornan1 No wonder he's the most interesting man in the world!" tweeted a fan along with the meme, which was then retweeted by James.

Last week James also made a reference to Dornan while playing Scrabble as she couldn't help imagining her Dornan on her Scrabble board:

"Reminds me of something... Or someone... Who can it be?" James wrote in the photo's caption, which she posted on her Instagram page. Over 6,600 people liked the photo.

While Dornan has maintained a low profile since being cast in the feature film, he shared a message with his fans on social media Friday. The post contained a photo of a llama, a practical joke which his followers appeared to have enjoyed. "So glad to see your amazing and funny tweets back!! [sic]" said the fansite @JamieDornan_org. "Amazing what a good suit will do," posted fellow fan site @Grey_Christian.
