Pokémon is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new 3DS bundle and an advertisement that will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.

Though more details about the Super Bowl ad weren't revealed yet, the Pokémon Company announced that it won't be promoting a specific title, but will instead "encourage fans to Train On," The Verge reported.

Also, a special edition New Nintendo 3DS bundle will be launched on Feb. 27, the news outlet further reported. The bundle will include two changeable faceplates showing art from the first two games in the series, the "Red and Blue Versions," which was first released in 1996.

The handheld will feature pre-installed digital versions (will also be sold separately in the 3DS e-shop) of both of those games, and an exclusive Pokémon menu theme as well, The Verge added. This will be the second version of the smaller, customizable New Nintendo 3DS that will be released in North America. An "Animal Crossing" version was also unveiled last summer.

Japan, on the other hand, will also have colored, transparent 2DS Pokémon bundles on Feb. 27, The Verge wrote. Australia, Europe, and New Zealand will also get the 2DS bundles, according to IGN.

Fans should also expect a number of other promotions scheduled to be released this year. This includes the re-release of some hard-to-find Pokémon amiibo (Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja, and Lucario), a new expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game set called "Generations" to roll out at the end of February, and the digital release of 12 different Pokémon animated movies on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play, The Verge listed. These films include digitally re-mastered versions of "Pokémon: The First Movie," "Pokémon the Movie 2000," and "Pokémon 3: The Movie," IGN listed.

The news outlet added that Toys R Us stores will offer special Pokémon cards featuring Pikachu and Magikarp on Feb. 27, as well as activity books and posters. All through 2016, GameStop will organize 3DS Pokémon distribution events for Mew, Arceus, Darkrai, and Genesect.

A main new release in the game series, however, isn't scheduled to launch in 2016, The Verge added. Fans shouldn't fret though, given that there's the digital re-issue of the original Game Boy games this year, as well as the arcade fighter, "Pokkén Tournament," on Wii U and the augmented reality game, "Pokémon Go," on iOS and Android.

More merchandise, such as toys, clothing, and more, will be available on the Pokémon Center site as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary.
