The latest Nokia Lumia software update has arrived in the United Kingdom but some smartphones and mobile carriers will be slower than others.

The update, known as Nokia Lumia Black, has been confirmed for the Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 625, Lumia 720, Lumia 820, Lumia 920, Lumia 925, and Lumia 1020 devices.

Two Nokia Lumia devices, however, have begun to rollout the Lumia Black update while others are "Waiting for approval" or listed as "Coming soon."

According to Nokia, "Waiting for approval" has been defined as "undergoing final testing with Nokia, country or operator to achieve approval."

"Coming soon," per Nokia," means the update has been "approved, in final pre-release checks."

The first of the Nokia Lumia devices that have rolled out the Lumia Black update is the Lumia 925. The Lumia Black update is now categorized as "Available" for the Lumia 925 from mobile carriers Everything Everywhere, 3UK, O2, and Vodafone.

The Lumia 1020's Lumia Black update is also available from three of four major mobile carriers. The Lumia 1020's update has been distributed from Everything Everywhere, O2, and Vodafone. Meanwhile, the Lumia Black update for the Lumia 1020 will come to 3UK customers, but it is listed as "Coming soon."

The Lumia 520's Lumia Black update is "Waiting for approval" from 3UK, Everything Everywhere, O2, and Vodafone.

The Lumia 620's update is also waiting approval via mobile carriers Virgin, 3UK, and O2.

The Lumia 625 continues the "Waiting for approval" streak from Everything Everywhere, O2, and Virgin.

The Lumia 720's update will come from one major mobile carrier, O2. The update for the Lumia 720, however, is on the waiting approval stage.

For the Lumia 820, the Lumia Black update will rollout from carriers Everything Everywhere, O2, and Vodafone. Everything Everywhere and Vodafone's update for the Lumia 820 is listed as "Waiting for approval," while O2 has its update categorized as "Coming soon."

Finally, the Lumia 920's Lumia Black update is waiting approval from 3UK and Everything Everywhere. The Lumia 920's Lumia Black update is "Coming soon" from O2 and Vodafone.

Among the new features with Lumia Black is the App Folder, which gives the Lumia smartphone owner the option to organize and personalize their Start screen. Nokia Glance screen 2.0 is also featured in the update and is able to monitor information in real time from calendar, emails, messages, outlook, or apps such as Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp, to name a few.

To check if the Lumia Black update is available, Lumia smartphone owners can go to "Settings" to "Phone update."
