"Criminal Minds" fans will finally learn exactly how Garcia turned from a hacker to a FBI technical analyst when the show returns from its winter break on Jan. 15.

In the new episode, which is called "The Black Queen," the BAU travels to San Jose to investigate a string of murders. However, when the Justice Department website is hacked, Garcia will pay a visit to her criminal past and reconnect with her former hacker mentor and old flame Shane Wyeth, played by "Royal Pains" actor Paulo Costanzo. The upcoming episode will feature a flashback of the two together in 2004, notes the Criminal Minds Roundtable.

Garcia is the main subject in a promo for "The Black Queen." In one flashback scene, Thomas Gibson's character Hotch tells her "I'm here to offer you an option to prison. You come work for me."

According to the Hollywood Hills, the episode will also feature new actress Jackie Joyner who will be coming on as character Rhonda.

In lieu of the 200th episode of "Criminal Minds," actress A.J. Cook spilled info about her character Jennifer "J.J." Jareau, and her relationship with Reid on the show.

Cook told TV Line that episode 200 will be an "action-packed doozie... basically a mini action movie." Storyline-wise, she noted that "it's going to explain what JJ was up to when she went away during Season 6, it's going to explain this weird relationship she has with the new section chief (played by Esai Morales), and it will explain the things that have happened in her life that have made her perhaps a little bit tougher than she used to be."

As for the JJ and Reid, Cook said that as the (new) flashbacks are unfurled, viewers will see that "it's all connected" to the main characters. "JJ has a connection through that storyline with everyone, and the writers are brilliant in how they went back and connected all the dots."

The 200th episode is set to air on Feb. 5.
