Antonio Vazquez Alba is known in Mexico as the Great Shaman, or the "Bruho Mayor." Fox Latino said that he revealed his predictions for 2016 at a press conference on Tuesday. Vazquez said that drug lord Joaquin Guzman, known as "El Chapo," will not be returning to prison, and that business mogul Donald Trump will not be the Republican presidential nominee, despite his strong ratings.

The shaman said that officials are "not going to take the risk" of having El Chapo get away for yet another time, predicting that "as soon they spot him, they'll kill him."

As for Trump, the Republicans will not name him as their candidate because of the many "missteps" of his campaign. However, Trump will not let that stop him from running, as he will use his financial resources to run as an independent candidate in his bid for the Oval Office. Vazquez added, "He's burning himself, he doesn't need them to burn him."

Other things that the shaman predicted are the economic turns in several countries. According to him, industrial activity, employment, and investment, will rise in Mexico and boost its economy in the coming year. On the other hand, Europe, South America, and China will be bad investments.

He also had something to say about marijuana legalization, predicting that it will "not benefit anything."

As for the natural disasters that could hit his home country, he said that there will be none for Mexico this year, adding that it is going to be a "calm year without serious problems."

Vazquez is known to make his predictions with the help of Tarot cards. Although for many countries, his predictions are non-traditional, he has been making them for over 25 years and is correct around 85 percent of the time.

Among his predictions that came true, according to Latina.com, are the death of Hugo Chavez in 2013, the results of the Mexican presidential elections in 2012, and the triumph of Mexico over Cameroon in the 2014 World Cup.

That's not to say that he hasn't been wrong in major instances, though. People noted that in 2012, he wrongly predicted the win of Mitt Romney against Barack Obama.

Not everyone is sold on the predictions of a shaman, even from those made by a popular one like Vazquez. However, from his 2016 predictions, which ones do you want most to be true -- Trump losing the GOP support, El Chapo to be caught, or a disaster-free Mexico?

Whatever happens, let's hope 2016 is going to be a good year for everyone.
