Developer 343 Industries has released a new piece of concept art for the upcoming Halo game that reveals a prominent setting from the upcoming game.
In a new post on the Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries discussed the changes coming to the company in 2014. At the end of the post, 343 included a piece of concept art that shows what may be one of the main areas of the upcoming Halo title. The artwork shows a massive ship landing near what appears to be a temporary military camp, with many different structures the center for a much of the activity. There are many different ships flying around in the background, but it is unclear why this place will be important to the upcoming Halo game.
The post also contained some hidden interesting details about the upcoming Halo title. While discussing what is in store for fans in 2014, 343 Industries revealed that the next Halo game will be more "transformative" as a part of the Xbox One than previous games in the series.
"2014 is here and much is afoot in the Halo universe. This past year has been a time of great transition at 343 as we've moved our engine and team from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and begun building the next chapter in the Halo saga. We're proud of what we accomplished with our first release in Halo 4 and now we're focused on something much more transformative as we make the leap to the next generation of Xbox. We showed a hint of what we have in store at E3 last year and we're excited to share more in the not-so-distant future. Please be patient - we can't wait to show you what we have in store," wrote 343 Industries.
It is unclear if the new Halo will be "transformative" because the new game will be on the Xbox One and 343 Industries can take advantage of the console's new technology, or if the game will have new elements that are entirely new to the Halo franchise. The developer could use the Kinect to add voice commands or motion controls to the series, change the series formula by adding new gameplay elements, or mix up the game's multiplayer matches.
Look out for more news right here on the new Halo title as it creeps towards release day.
