There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the upcoming "Legend of Zelda" game, and it seems that Nintendo is preparing for a huge announcement, as reported by Gamer Professionals. According to the website, the company has already "created a promotional video for the upcoming title for the Wii U, which is meant to impact parents for a "big event."

The video has not been confirmed however, but it was noted that it has been published online and was password protected, posted by someone using the name John Richard. Gamer Pros noted that the video has been titled "First draft," which means that at this point, the promotional material may still be in the works. Sources for the outlet said that the production of the video is still underway, but will be wrapping up shortly.

As Christian Post noted, Nintendo has previously announced that it will not release a new Zelda game until 2015, but later on, a new video surfaced explaining that the new release date will be pushed back to 2016, and it seems that the scheduled launch, as reported by IGN, will remain as scheduled for next year.

What does convince Gamer Pros of the authenticity of the latest released video is the level of production set, as well as classic watermarks from the left-hand side, and a timestamp that coincides with the time that the film is in post-production.

The video that has been released lacked the first 40 seconds or so, which means that there is a possibility that it will include gameplay footage. What has been noted is that the new video contains clips from "The Legend of Zelda," "The Adventure of Link" and "A Link to the Past," yet it focuses more on the relationship between a father and his daughter. It is also said to tease that "A New Generation Begins" in the game.

There is a possibility that the new version of Zelda could hint of a playable female protagonist, and that it's set for a spring date. However, while there has been no confirmation so far, there is a big possibility that the leaked video may be the major event for Nintendo, considering that Zelda's 30th anniversary is coming in 2016.

According to IGN, assuming that Nintendo is planning on going to release their Nintendo NX system by Christmas next year, there is a big possibility that the next "Legend of Zelda" installment will be released as well, to boost their sales.
