Cumberbitches celebrate as Entertainment Weekly offers a late Christmas gift in the form of a glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Strange in their latest cover.

The Marvel film is not due out until November 4, 2016, and according to the outlet, principal photography only began in November. So where did they get such a great photo? Apparently during one of the first times that the actor was wearing his costume.

During the interview, Cumberbatch admitted that he's still learning about his character, and is still figuring out how to pose as if he's casting spells. He shared, "I'm still in the infancy of learning all that. It was like, okay, I've got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically."

He went on, "I'm thinking, there's going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning ofthat finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I'm still working on that."

He also admitted that it's not the most comfortable he's felt in a role, adding, "I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It's like anything, you just have to experiment."

The rest of the cast members are equally excellent. Coming Soon noted that Tilda Swinton plays the Ancient One, while Chiwetel Ejiofor is her associate, called Karl Mordo.

Mads Mikkelsen is the main villain, while Rachel McAdams is a fellow surgeon who has a history with Cumberbatch's collar-popping Dr Stephen Strange. Marvel executive Kevin Feige said about her character, "Rachel McAdams plays a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer. She is someone he connects with at the beginning, and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity."

Vanity Fair pointed out that Cumberbatch is not exactly a stranger at popping collars the way Dr Stephen Strange does. Speaking of collar-popping characters, the actor is returning this New Year's Day, for a special episode of "Sherlock." According to frontrunner Mark Gatiss to Crime Scene, the special Victorian episode is a "full-blooded Gothic horror."

Co-creator Steven Moffatt pointed out that just ten minutes into the episode it ceases being a Victorian episode, and that the audience will find the same old Sherlock later on. He pointed out, "Within a few minutes, it's just Sherlock Holmes."

"Sherlock" is scheduled to hit the small screen on New Year's day, but for those awaiting Benedict Cumberbatch's debut as a superhero, "Doctor Strange" is hitting the theaters on November 4, 2016.
