Although it is the holidays, the sports industry has not taken a break, considering all of the big matches scheduled this week.

The New York Times said despite the holidays and celebrations worldwide, soccer players continue with their scheduled tournaments for this week and the coming weeks.

Here are some of the most-anticipated games happening this week:

1. Leicester City versus Manchester City

On Tuesday, two of the biggest names in the Premier League will face off at the King Power Stadium. SB Nation reported that the Leicester City Foxes have been recently taken down by Arsenal from the top spot, after the latter defeated Bournemouth. The same report, however, claimed that the team is expected to recover from its defeat.

It was also noted that Sergio Aguero will be a key player in this match for Manchester City, but Leicester is also prepared to give their opponents a great fight with Riyad Mahrez.

According to Bleacher Report, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini recognized the talents and elite skills among the Foxes roster, but noted that his team is prepared to give them a good fight.

"They beat Chelsea and drew against United-we must consider they will not collapse because they lost," added Pellegrini.

As for the prediction of the match, Telegraph noted that freelance journalist Mike Whalley has predicted that Leicester will win the game with a 1-2 score.

2. Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

The match will happen on Tuesday at Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid, where the two teams will take on each other in their La Liga battle.

The International Business Times (IBT) reported that Real Madrid is out to prove that it can improve its performances in the game, having just won three games in the league.

On the other hand, the same report noted that Real Sociedad is also on a three-game winless streak in the competition.

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez said the team is achieving its goal of scoring more goals in their previous games.

However, Real Sociedad coach Eusebio Sacristan mentioned in the IBT report that his team lacked determination when they played against Villareal.

"We must have more belief and try to control the game. My team did a great job throughout but got no reward," he added.

Goal.com revealed that Real Madrid is the favored team to win this match, taking into consideration both teams' previous performances.

 3. Manchester United Swansea City

For the Premier League, the two teams are set to go against each other on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Swansea City caretaker manager Alan Curtis is still expected to be in charge with the team for their game this coming weekend, ESPN said.

Curtis will remain in his temporary role as the leader of the team, pending a decision to put him in the position permanently.
