Guns N' Roses fans are excited, as it looks like a full-fledged reunion is on the horizon for the band. According to Inquisitr, the band's own website seems to suggest that the original lineup may come together once again, as members reconcile and friendships are renewed.
The first clue that suggests a reunion can be seen on the Guns N' Roses website, where the current logo has been replaced with their logo from the 80s. The "Appetite for Destruction" logo was released with the one of roses intertwined with two pistols. This logo has evolved over the years, just as the band itself has undergone many changes, which is what led people to believe that the return to the original logo may symbolize a return to the original lineup.
The next clue of the original members' reunion aired during the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" previews. A clip showed the beginnings of an earlier Guns N' Roses concert with Axl Rose, who was seen leading the band into a rendition of their song, "Welcome to the Jungle." This led people to believe that this is indicative of the band preparing to share big news, like a reunion tour, perhaps.
The group's Facebook page also changed their profile and cover photos on Christmas, with that of crowds, which looked similar to one of the videos played before the Star Wars screenings.
Finally, the feud between band members Axl Rose and Slash seems to have dissipated. In an interview with CBS, Slash said, "[Axl and I] haven't really talked in a long time. But a lot of the tension that you were talking about has dissipated. We don't have all those issues anymore."
When asked about a reunion, the former band guitarist said he was open to it if everyone else was, although he added that they would have to be doing it for "the right reasons."
An insider also shared to Dish Nation via Mirror UK, "Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band. The live shows is where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings."
The insider added, "Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities... Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect."
Consequences of Sound also said that the band may reunite for Coachella 2016, although the final lineup for the music festival will be announced in January. Do you think Guns N' Roses will be reuniting for the New Year?
