For its newest 2.4.0 patch, Diablo 3 has eliminated Seasonal Legendaries.
CinemaBlend noted that that the removal of such was in exchange for "a six-piece Legendary equipment for everyone," and not only for those who are able to unlock the seasonal content in the game.
In an announcement on the game's website, it was noted that the game will still have item-based rewards for a better gameplay experience.
It was also mentioned in the CinemaBlend report that a lot of changes were also included in the game to provide versatility and better opportunities for gamers.
When the seasonal Legendaries were still available, players had to unlock them for the entire season, giving them the chance to make the most of their skills. Aside from these, gamers were also able to unlock gifts for the entire season.
"We've introduced Haedrig's Gift, a special bundle of Set items you'll receive on completion of certain stages of the Season Journey," added the website announcement.
Some of the reward items for the characters once stages are completed include the following: (as per the Diablo 3 website)
- Barbarian: Might of the Earth
- Crusader: Thorns of the Invoker
- Demon Hunter: The Shadow's Mantle
- Monk: Monkey King's Garb
- Witch Doctor: Raiment of the Jade Harvester
- Wizard: Firebird's Finery
There are also cosmetic rewards in store for players like the Wickerman Pet, Conquerer's Boots transmogrification and exclusive Portrait Frames.
GameRant added that non-seasonal characters can also be "rebirthed" or reset to Level 1. But by doing this, players will still have to retain their name and the time the played.
It was also noted in the same report that the shift from the Seasonal Legendaries could change the difficulty of the game.
"The jump from hitting level 70 and dressing down in Legendaries to earning that first full set is likely the most challenging content jump for new players," GameRant added.
The changes are expected to be integrated on the upcoming "Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls Season 5" which will start on Jan. 15, according to BidnessETC. The patch, on the other hand, is still in public testing and expected to go online for the personal computer soon. There is still no word on the console release for this.
According to GameRant, many players are expected to return to Diablo III since there will be 40 additional legendary powers and brand-new sets coming for the game. All these were aimed to bring excitement to the action role-playing video game.
