Nyjer Morgan is reportedly drawing interest from at least six teams as the feisty outfielder looks to make his MLB return after playing in the Japanese league last season, a major sports media outlet reported on Monday.

ESPN reported that the 33-year-old Morgan is interested to play again in the Big League after he hit .294 with 11 home runs in 108 games with the Yokohama DeNa BayStars in 2013.

Jonathan Maurer, who served as Morgan's agent, said he already had preliminary talks with six to eight ballclubs that showed interest in signing the mercurial but outstanding hustle player.

"Japan was a great experience for Nyjer and he would still enjoy playing there, but he's had a great deal of success in the States and would love to come back here as well,'' Maurer said via ESPN. "We've had interest from teams who see him as a guy who could come in and spell a starter or possibly earn more playing time."

Morgan has carved out a reputation as one of the most intriguing players in the baseball because of his combative antics that often ignite all-out brawls on the field.

His sour relationship with fans in San Francisco along with his feud with St. Louis Cardinal hurler Chris Carpenter were the results of his feisty character. However, his popularity gained an all-time high during his tenure with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Morgan, the creator of 'Plush-damental' attitude, attracted 43,283 fans during Tony Plush Rally Towel Night at Miller Park in September 2011 and gained 70,000 followers on Twitter afterwards. Morgan also graced the cover of Sports Illustrated along with Brewers teammate Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder.

"I just figure we're entertainers,'' Morgan told ESPN.com. "We're on one of the biggest stages. Trust me, if I was batting .202, I wouldn't be doing the [expletive] I'm doing.''

Morgan hit .280 with 117 stolen bases in his MLB career, playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals and Brewers in six seasons. He had his best season in 2009, where he batted .307 with 42 stolen bases for the Pirates and Nats.
