OnePlus might be adding to its roster of smartphones, one that would fit into the caliber of the flagship category. The OnePlus Mini is a 4.6-inch smartphone that will reportedly run on Snapdragon 810.

In a report with International Business Times, it revealed that the mysterious handset will be equipped with a 4.6-inch display that will support full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The OnePlus Mini will reportedly run on a Snapdragon 810 chipset that will clock in at 1.7 GHz. The rumored phone will also come with 4 GB of RAM, althought earlier reports by GFXBench data, mentioned in IBT, said that it will be coming with 3.6 GB of memory. The OnePlus Mini will also come with an internal storage of 64 GB.

It is also reported by the website that the handset will sport a rear camera with 12-megapixels, that will reportedly allow for 2160p video shooting. The front-facing camera will sport 5-megapixels, which will allow users to take good selfies. Fresh out of the box, the handset will be running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming OnePlus Mini will be a mini version of the OnePlus 2 flagship. The specs of the OnePlus Mini are similar to the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 was dubbed "the flagship killer" during its relase, and received favorable reviews from analyts the world over. The OnePlus 2 boasted of a good phone design and those who have used the phone have commented on the OnePlus 2's sturdy build and loved the fact that they could get a firm grip on the phone. 

Despite the OnePlus Mini's size, the device is expected to pack a punch with the Adreno 430 GPU, reports Digital Trends.

The given information also states that the OnePlus Mini will not have NFC capabilities, like the OnePlus 2.The OnePlus Mini will be in direct competition with the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, or the Moto E 2015, and even Apple's budget iPhone, the iPhone 6c, which is rumored to be released next year.

This phone is ideal for those who prefer smaller sized phones. It is unknown as of now if the OnePlus Mini will have the OnePlus 2's dualsim support. The phone should come at a price tag of $350 or less, given that the phone falls in the mid-flagship category. 

There have been no official release dates for the OnePlus Mini as of now, but it is believed that the device will be released early next year, should rumors be believed.
