343 Industries has announced a new loyalty program and advanced controller settings for "Halo 5: Guardians."

The game's upcoming update will feature advanced controller settings, which will provide players the opportunity to adjust their Look Acceleration, Inner, and Outer Dead Zones, Halo announced.

Look Acceleration establishes how quickly you will move to your maximum look speed when you fully press the joystick in a specific direction. For "Halo 5: Guardians," the developer made the Look Acceleration faster than the past games and the "Halo 5" multiplayer beta.

"This was done in part to help you make large aim corrections a bit faster (for example, if someone is attacking you from behind it allows you to more quickly do a 180). If you would like the Look Acceleration to match the Multiplayer Beta, use a setting of 2 here," the game's website stated.

The Inner Dead Zone, meanwhile, refers to the area around the analog stick where input is ignored and is used to prevent drift, which is camera movement even when you're not applying input, Halo's website explained. Drift in the analog sticks happens because of a number of reasons, such as manufacturing tolerances, and wear and tear on the controller, among others.

"Try turning the Inner Dead Zone down to 0% and test if you run into cases where after releasing the look stick, the camera continues drifting. If you do get drift, increase the inner dead zone setting a bit and try again," Halo recommended on their page.

The Outer Dead Zone works as slow turn prevention, and determines when you've pushed the analog stick over as far as you want to hit 100 percent of movement. For the tuning process, Halo suggested "turning the Outer Dead Zone down to 0% and test if you run into cases where you can't hit the 'pegged state' and encounter slow turn."

Adjusting the Inner Dead Zone will avert unwanted movement if the analog stick doesn't reset accurately to zero, while the Outer Dead Zone will let you know how much skill is required to attain top speed for turning/aiming, Cinema Blend noted.

Aside from these controller settings, 343 Industries also announced that, starting immediately, players can earn up to two free Req packs per day just for playing multiplayer modes, Arena and Warzone, GameSpot reported. However, in order to earn your free Req pack, you need to win a match in either Arena or Warzone modes.

The upcoming "Halo 5" free update, called The Cartographer's Gift, will also introduce Forge mode, more Reqs, new multiplayer maps, and more, GameSpot listed.
