The show kicked off with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair welcoming the crowd to "Old-School" Monday Night Raw before he was interrupted by the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and former Evolution stablemate Randy Orton, who threatened the Hall of Fame icon with harm, only to have John Cena, Orton's Royal Rumble opponent, save the day, forcing Orton to retreat to fight another day.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Wyatts (Daniel Bryan, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan) vs The Usos & Rey Mysterio
Bryan tagged himself into the ring, late in the match, annoying Harper in the process, who tagged himself back into the ring, only to have one of the Usos catch Harper in a roll-up and the pin-fall for the lose for the Wyatts in Bryan's debut with the creepy clan.
Winner: The Usos & Rey Mysterio
Non-Title Match: Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston vs Curtis Axel
Ryback was doing commentary as he watched his tag team partner take on the Intercontinental champion in singles competition. Ryback almost distracted Langston to cost him the match but the champion came storming back, hitting Axel with the Big Ending to score the win.
Winner: Big E Langston
The Shield - Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and United States champion Dean Ambrose - were the guests in an old-school edition of Piper's Pit, where host "Rowdy" Roddy Piper continued sowing the seeds of discontent within the group, asking them if Reigns was the best member of The Shield and if The Shield's big man could defeat CM Punk in the main event. The Shield, never answering the question, threatened to take out the WWE legend out before CM Punk made the save with help from The New Age Outlaws to even up the odds.
Sin Cara vs Alberto Del Rio
Alberto Del Rio, coming back from a concussion injury, made quick work of Sin Cara, taking advantage of the high-flyer's mistake and Superkicking Sin Cara, after Sin Cara missed a Swanton Dive, to win the match. After the bout was over, Del Rio announced he will be a participant in the Royal Rumble and called out the other announced participant in the battle royal, Batista.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
WWE Tag Team Champions The Rhodes Brothers vs The Real Americans (Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro w/ Zeb Colter) (non-title)
The Real Americans managed to isolate Rhodes for most of the match before Rhodes gave Goldust the hot-tag, who cleared the ring of the potential title challengers. With help from his brother, Goldust managed to get hit Swagger with the Final Cut finisher to garner the victory for his team.
Winner: The Rhodes Brothers
The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh) vs Damien Sandow
With the WWE Universe deciding the legend who would officiate this rematch from last week's Monday Night Raw, Sgt. Slaughter was chosen to be the special guest referee. But while Khali hit the Punjabi Chop on Sandow to earn the pin-fall and the win, the match was yet again marred in controversy after the former WWE champion officiating the match missed Sandow's leg on the bottom rope, which would have stopped the count, leading to Sandow protesting the decision before eating a Cobra Clutch from Sgt. Slaughter.
Winner: The Great Khali
Paul Heyman and his protege Brock Lesnar came out to address their challenge to the winner of the John Cena-Randy Orton title match at the Royal Rumble before being interrupted by Mark Henry, still angry after getting destroyed by "The Beast" last week. Henry ended up on the floor, taking a Kimura arm-lock instead and suffering a potential arm injury. The Big Show came out to the rescue and manhandled the former MMA star, tossing him across the ring, in retaliation for what he had done to "The World Strongest Man."
The Bella Twins vs Alicia Fox & Askana
The E! Total Divas siblings, the Bella Twins, took the lose after Brie Bella went to the second rope to attempt a Missile Dropkick and completely missed her target, allowing for Askana to get the pin and a victory over the reality show star.
Winner: Alicia Fox & Askana
Six-man Tag Team Match: Too Cool vs 3MB
In a clash of new-school against old-school, the team of Too Cool reunited to face all three members of 3MB. Scotty 2 Hotty managed to hit The Worm, with Grandmaster Sexay nailing the Hip Hop Drop before Rikishi got the pin for the victory prior to doing their traditional celebratory post-match dance routine.
Winner: Too Cool
CM Punk (w/ The New Age Outlaws) vs Roman Reigns of The Shield (w/ Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose)
After defeating Ambrose and Rollins in singles competition, it was now Reigns turn to take on "The Best In The World" in the main event. Punk held his own against the much bigger opponent but Ambrose managed to distract the former champion long enough for Reigns to hit the spear and defeat Punk, on behalf of The Shield. After the match, Jake "The Snake" Roberts came down to ringside, distracting The Shield long enough for the New Age Outlaws and CM Punk to beat down the trio, allowing for a new Damien - Roberts' pet snake, to make an appearance all over Ambrose's chest to end the show.
Winner: Roman Reigns
