"Tom Clancy's The Division" alpha version has been made available on the Xbox One.

Gearnuke reported that the alpha test of the game started Wednesday and will run until Dec. 12, but it is exclusive for Xbox One users.

It added that for players who want to have access to the alpha version, they need to have an invite code.

"To gain a code for the Alpha, you have to pre-order the game before launch at retail outlets like Amazon or digitally through the Xbox One store," Gearnuke added.

According to Neowin, the alpha test is made available all around the world, except in China and Japan, but it claimed that the game is still considered to be great competition to Destiny.

Geek explained that during the alpha stage, the game developer will "test the game's infrastructure under real world conditions (i.e. having the public play it) in order to iron out any kinks, and to also get fan feedback in order to make the final product stronger."

The alpha testing period is the first time that gamers will be able to play a version of "The Division" that goes beyond the Dark Zone areas, as per WinBeta.

But Ubisoft had a simple request for the gamers who try out the alpha phase. That is to avoid sharing videos, photos, and description of the game's content outside the game's official forum.

"Players will be prompted to accept a non-disclosure agreement before playing the alpha," noted Ubisoft.

The UbiBlog also added that this agreement will include capturing gameplay content, live streaming, posting images, and discussing the alpha version anywhere outside of the alpha forums.

As for the beta version, WinBeta said this can be expected early next year, as the game developer expressed that they want to offer gamers the best gaming experience possible with the upcoming release.

It is expected to be available for Xbox One, PC, and PS4 users and will feature additional languages, aside from those which will be introduced in alpha, Geek added.

"It will also allow Ubisoft to test their servers with a larger group of users," added the same report.

"The Division" will be released on the three mentioned gaming consoles on March 8, 2016.

UbiBlog said the game will be about a pandemic that will devastate New York City and will leave it in complete chaos -- without water, food and other basic needs. The division, composed of tactical agents, will be activated to save the what remains of the affected society.
