Former undefeated UFC champion, Ronda Rousey, is determined to face Holly Holm one more time, but noted that if it ends up with her again being knocked out, it would be the final day of her MMA career.
Fox Sports said Rousey is still recovering from her knockout defeat at UFC 193 in Australia a few weeks back, but vowed for a comeback.
It also noted that the female fighter recognizes how important this fight is for her career.
In an interview with ESPN, Rousey recalled how bad she had been beaten up in her most devastating defeat -- her very first.
"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact," Rousey said, adding that she is really "fucking sad" after the loss.
But the MMA fighter said that her main aim now is to come back and prove to Holm that she is still the best female UFC star.
"I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to fucking do it," Rousey noted.
During their fight last month, Holm showcased her aggression to give Rowdy a memorable defeat, as per Yahoo Sports.
It added that Rousey was the aggressive fighter during the beginning of the game, "looking for the right hold and taking head shots along the way." But Holm was able to see an opening 59 seconds after the start of the second round.
The winning fighter threw a kick at Rousey's head after the latter stumbled during contact. This sent the former undefeated UFC fighter down on the canvas.
Holm delivered several blows to her opponent's head before the referee intervened, ending Rousey's unbeaten record.
"I got hit in that first round. ... I cut my lip open and knocked a couple of my teeth loose. I was out on my feet from the very beginning," Rousey told ESPN as she remembered the match.
She added that she was not herself during most of the fight and was making bad decisions.
"I just feel so embarrassed. How I fought after that is such an embarrassing representation of myself. I wasn't even fucking there," the MMA fighter added.
Fifteen days after her defeat, Rousey was first seen in public walking alongside a little girl on Thanksgiving Day and seemed to have fully recovered from the beating she got from Holm, said TMZ Sports.
According to News.com.au, the former UFC champion had to undergo plastic surgery to repair her busted lip.
She was also reportedly issued a 180-day medical suspension by the UFC and asked to present a head CT which revealed the damage she suffered to lift the suspension.
News.com.au also noted that Rousey cannot fight for the next 60 days and must avoid "fighting contact" for 45 days.
