Looks like Motorola is at it again. The popular smartphone manufacturer has just released Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the Moto G in the United Kingdom.

Motorola revealed the release in a posting on its U.K. website, stating that software version KLB20.9-1.10-1.9 is now rolling out over the air for those with a Moto G in the United Kingdom. As usual, not everybody will immediately receive the update since Android firmwares are pushed out in batches, but it shouldn't be too long before download notifications pop up on most Moto Gs in the United Kingdom. Motorola suggests that Moto G owners have their devices charged to at least 50 percent and tethered to a Wi-Fi connection before downloading.

"Android 4.4.2, KitKat, is the latest release of the Android platform. KitKat includes enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, color emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, smarter power use and more tools and capabilities for better app development," writes Motorola.

On top of the standard perks that come with a new version of Android, Motorola has also improved the phone dialer, photo editing, hangouts, and accessory support. The upgrade will also make it easier to print documents and pictures using the phone.

Unlocked Moto Gs in the United States received Android 4.4 KitKat early when Motorola pushed out the upgrade ahead of schedule in December. Motorola has been aggressively updating its lineup, and has also pushed out KitKat for its flagship Moto X.
