The "Uncharted 4" Multiplayer Beta is now out as it was launched a day earlier than its scheduled international release.
According to PC Mag, the beta version will run until Dec. 13 and is available for individuals who bought the recently released Uncharted Collection.
It also noted that this will give players the chance to see what they can expect in the upcoming Uncharted 4 game.
"More importantly, it is there to let developer Naughty Dog test the online infrastructure, as well as get user feedback which will help shape the final version of multiplayer," added the same report.
Coming in a 7GB file size, the beta version has two maps -- an island-inspired level seen in the Uncharted 4 demo from the PlayStation Experience 2014 and a Madagascar level based on the E3 2015 demo.
PC Mag said players can also use the load out item called Mysticals, which will give them supernatural abilities just like in Uncharted games in the past. These abilities include Wrath of El Dorado, Spirit of Djinn, Cintamani Stone, Star of Ayar Manco, and Indra's Eternity.
In the PlayStation blog, it was explained that a voucher is not required to download the beta and that players can simply get it by following the steps below:
- Insert the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection game disc into the PlayStation 4
- Highlight the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection game icon
- Select 'Overview'
- Select the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta Tile and press the X button to begin your download from the PlayStation Store
The "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is set three years after the events on "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception," where Nathan was forced out of retirement to help his brother Sam.
"His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves," read the game's description on the PlayStation website.
PC Advisor reported that the game will come with "amazing" features.
"It features Nathan and Sully wandering through a French-speaking market before being ambushed by military soldiers," added the same report.
The game is coming out on March 18, 2016, exclusive to the PS4. It can be pre-ordered for $59.99 through the PlayStation website.
PC Advisor said that the developers of the game had to push the release date back by a couple of months.
"So we've made the difficult choice of pushing the game's release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title," the video game developer said in a statement.
