A number of gunmen fired guns at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California on Wednesday, which killed at least 14 people and left 17 others injured. President Barack Obama quickly called for a gun control reform after the mass shooting took place.

According to TIME, about three or more suspects had their way on a disability center, firing shots which lasted about five minutes. It has been said that around 100 police officers quickly responded, along with fire departments and FBI.

Witnesses stated that the gunmen fled in a dark SUV and were then chased by officers, which resulted in an exchange of fire in a nearby neighborhood that killed a man and a woman. The FBI Assistant Director in Los Angeles, David Bowdich, said that they were not yet sure if the incident was caused by a terrorist attack.

Moreover, Yahoo News reported the attackers killed were all prepared for the attack, wearing tactical gears and ski masks. They were also equipped with long guns, assault rifles, and handguns.

"These were people who came prepared. They came in with a purpose, with intent to do something," San Bernardino Police Chief, Jarrod Burguan, told the reporters. He added that they have no information yet who's behind the killings; however, they believe that this was just a "domestic-terrorist-type situation."

Offers also placed one man in custody after seeing him leaving the incident's location, but it is not yet clear if he took part in the shooting incident. They also saw an explosive-like device around the area.

Meanwhile, President Obama declared the banning of firearms on America's "no-fly list." "We should never think that this is something that just happens in the ordinary course of events because it doesn't happen with the same frequency in other countries," he told CBS News.

The network had an interview with the 54-year-old state leader during the course of the event. He said that the "federal government" don't know yet who's behind the terror attack.

President Obama is hoping that the U.S, especially the relatives of victims, can cope with the tragic shooting. He added that they really don't know why these attackers are doing such things, but he gave everyone assurance that they will do everything to keep his citizens safe.

"We should come together in a bipartisan basis at every level of government to make these rare as opposed to normal," he disclosed.
