"Captain America: Civil War" is set to introduce several new Marvel characters, but the spotlight will not be on any web-slinging heros.

According to Screen Rant, Chadwick Boseman's character, T'Challa a.k.a. the Black Panther, will get more of the limelight in the upcoming phase 3 movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A case in point is the recently released world premiere trailer for "Civil War," which shows the Wakandan ruler in pursuit of Bucky Barnes in his acts as the Winter Soldier.

The outlet noted that while Tom Holland's "Spider-Man" will also debut in the film, the showrunners are putting more effort in introducing the Black Panther.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Civil War" executive producer, Nate Moore, revealed that Black Panther is a character that has not decided which side he is on yet.

"He's someone who hasn't necessarily made up his mind about either side and whose agenda isn't exactly what Cap's agenda or what Tony's agenda is. And I think that brings him into conflict weirdly with both characters at different times in the film," he explained.

Boseman echoes this statement at one point, describing all characters in the film to have the same perspective of loyalty.

"Ultimately some sides are taken, but I think the trick of the movie is for no one to be blindly following. Everybody is actually on their own side, in truth," the actor told EW.

One more reason why Screen Rant believes Black Panther will more of the spotlight is the fact that the production team seemed to have given more effort in making his costume stand-out amidst the wide array of superheroes in the film.

"Panther is a cool character and he has a toughness, and a sort of intimidation factor with his costume. We're experimenting with how the light catches the costume... It's like medieval chain mail, woven extremely thin. It's not comparable to any other costumes in the universe," co-director, Anthony Russo, explained.

Boseman then proceeds with the mythology of how Panther's costume came to be, saying that it was made of a Wakandan metal called 'vibranium,' the very same material used to create Captain America's shield.

"It's not just about being durable, it has the ability to absorb energy. It's not just like you hit it and it doesn't take it. It has the ability to absorb the attack of another person and repel or respond to that attack. That's part of the power," he told EW.
