The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has garnered praise from tech analysts for being a worthy adversary in the ever competitive tablet market. The tablet/laptop hyrbrid is already an expensive investment, but many tech analysts are saying that the Surface Pro 4 has already successfully forged its own path. But has the Surface Pro met its match in the HP Elite x2?
In a report with The Motley Fool, Hewlett-Packard has started to see Microsoft as a dangerous foe as opposed to a worthy ally. The release of the Surface Pro series has hurt HP's laptop and tablet sales as of late. HP's initial attempts at challenging the Surface series with hybrid devices like the Envy x2, Spectre x2, Pro x2, and Elite x2, were often met with disappointment. Most of these devices suffered in sales thanks to the nearly saturated market of the tablet and laptop hybrid devices. PC sales had fallen 13% annually, it was reported while sales of those hybrid devices also fell 8%.
HP is not giving up in its attempts to present a worthy adversary against the Surface Pro 4. The company has recently unveiled the HP Elite x2 1012 to rival the Surface Pro 4. Will HP finally succeeed?
