Bad Santa Steals Helicopter In Brazil

Father Santa has arrived a little bit earlier than usual for Christmas, and it looks like he can add his name to the naughty list for stealing a helicopter in Brazil, although you can't blame him if a child asked that of the iconic Christmas Eve traveler.

In a report by the Huffington Post, the Brazilian Police are hunting around Sao Paulo a man dressed up as Santa Claus, who rented an aircraft late Friday from an airport taxi service at the Campo Marte Airport for the Black Friday "surprise." During the flight, the Santa forced the pilot to fly to a small farm outside the city, where they were met by a third person. Santa and his friend then tied up the pilot and flew away again.

The pilot managed to escape a few hours later to alert the police, although there has been no sign of the Robinson model 44 anywhere.

This is not the first, nor only, incident of Santa forgetting about Christmas spirit, either. According to OmniFeed, a man dressed as Father Christmas took part in a parade in Wales last year, and as the event drew to a close, departed the grounds in a police van instead of calling on his reindeer.

The Santa was arrested in front of children, making some of them cry out. A witness shared that at that time, "There were a lot tears. People couldn't believe it actually happened. My four-year-old cousin started crying, saying, 'Santa can't bring me toys now."'

There's also a druggie version of the gift-giver in the US, as a man also dressed up as Santa and got into the festive spirit by giving out bundles of marijuana to customers at a Monterey Peninsula restaurant.

Santa's plane hijacking is not going to be the last this year, either, as it seems like various crimes are committed as the holidays grow near. The Net News Ledger reported that Canada is already on the lookout for rising crime rates this holiday season. In Thunder Bay, for instance, several residential break-ins have been occurring at all times of the day, with items such as cell phones, laptops, electronics, cash, and jewelry, and even large screen televisions being stolen.

And then there are also the weirder crimes committed during the holiday season, like the man who beat fellow Christmas shoppers with a lightsaber, as noted by Cracked. But with the next "Star Wars" coming up, it won't be surprising for something like that to happen again.
