"The Walking Dead" Season 6 will see more major deaths in the wake of the predicted comeback of a fan favourite.
The show's current season has been most exciting so far as showrunners create an even more exhilarating mid-season and season finale for AMC's zombie apocalypse-themed series.
With this in mind, TWD star, Andrew Lincoln's statement about an even darker season finale for the show comes as no surprise to many.
"We just wrapped 24 hours ago on what I think is the darkest and most extraordinary season finale that we've ever attempted," the actor who plays the series' main protagonist, Rick Grimes, told The Wrap.
"To say that I'm excited would be a vast understatement. And it ends with a very big bang," he added.
Cinema Blend thinks that Lincoln is referring to a possible massacre of the "not-so-merry" group of survivors, most of who already await death row.
"Things are surely about to go downhill, as the final moments of last week's episode, "Heads Up," showed one of the panels of Alexandria's wall falling, with a herd of walkers lurking just beyond its gates," the report explained.
One possible casualty is Morgan (Lennie James) who was bitten by a zombie, and loses that very arm after Michonne attempted to save him from becoming a walker himself, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Another possible casualty is Jessie, whose hand was chopped off by Rick as a swarm of zombies tried to devour both her and her son, Ron.
"Rick and Jessie - a couple in the comics as well - plan to escape along with Carl. That plan goes out the window when Jessie's son, Ron, is bitten and she grabs Carl in a bid to help - only Jessie is bitten in the process and won't release Carl. Rick is forced to chop her hand off as the walkers swarm both mother and son," the outlet explained.
THR also introduced a list of characters who will most likely meet their demise before the season ends, including Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), and Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam).
While the outlet based all of this information from the comic books from which the series is based, there is still a possibility that the showrunners will decide to change the storyline to suit its television audience. In other words, it is best to take all these rumours with a grain of salt.
