After five years since its last installment, gamers are now highly anticipating the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," with rumors indicating that it may come late next year.

A gamer named Cyberland revealed in a post that the upcoming game may be available by October 2016 if the development phase goes smoothly.

"My source says that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for GTAV and they are going to focus on RDR2 now. Rockstar expects the game to be out by October next year as long as the devs don't hit any road blocks during development," indicated the post.

Meanwhile, Crossmap said that video game developer, Rockstar Games, has earlier expressed that they are not hurrying to release the next game in their franchise.

"It's wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the 'Red Dead' series, and nearly 5 years after Red Dead Redemption's release. As we've mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as 'Red Dead Redemption,' 'Bully' and 'L.A. Noire,' we don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually," the company was quoted by Crossmap as saying.

When it becomes available in 2016, Express said it will have new system features along with an update on its firmware.

It added that one of the new highlights of the game is the "Suspend/Resume Feature" believed to allow users to suspend or resume games with touch of a simple button.

VCPost  earlier noted that video game distributor, Take Two Interactive, confirmed that a project will be launched come 2016.

A separate Express report detailed the development of "Red Dead Redemption 2" was also placed on the spotlight, when Rockstar San Diego posted a job listing looking for a networking programmer specializing "in a wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game."

The game is believed to have upgraded to multiplayer features and a gang mode, which will allow players to choose if they want to be part of a gang or the police team.

Movie Pilot advised developers of the game that they could have Japan as the setting of the new game.

It also added that fans would want to see a "more dynamic fighting system" for this upcoming installment.

In addition, Ecumenical News said that if it is true that the "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have a a co-op multiplayer, it is going to be the first in the franchise to have this feature.
